After a highly acclaimed debut album and a particularly solid EP, Human Impact returned in the fall of 2024 – once again via Ipecac Recordings (Dälek, Faith No More, Oxbow, the Jesus Lizard, the Melvins…) – with Gone Dark, their second album that takes their exploration of noise-rock to even more intense depths.

Still led by Chris Spencer (Unsane) and Jim Coleman (ex-Cop Shoot Cop), the band solidified its lineup with the addition of Jon Syverson (Daughters) on drums and Eric Cooper (Made Out of Babies) on bass, while Chris Pravdica & Phil Puleo have focused their efforts on Swans. This new dynamic has resulted in an even sharper songwriting approach.

More fierce and visceral than its predecessor, Gone Dark seamlessly blends noise rock aggression with dark industrial textures, creating a palpable atmosphere of tension. The sound is raw and untamed, yet haunted by electronic layers that envelop each track in a cold, menacing aura.

The result, bold and intense, stands as a cry of rage against a decaying world. Available now in physical and digital formats here, the album is ready to be experienced in full right below.
