EYES have unleashed their most ambitious and electrifying record to date with ‘Spinner’, a 24-minute barrage of chaotic hardcore that fuses visceral aggression with conceptual sophistication. This third full-length release—and first under Prosthetic Records—sees the Danish five-piece dive deeper into their identity, crafting a short but explosive concept album inspired by the psychological depth and stylized chaos of mangaka Asano Inio (Goodnight Punpun, Dead Dead Demon’s De De De Deconstruction).

Like a retro anime spiraling out of control, ‘Spinner’ presents each track as a unique “episode,” built from the band’s own experiences and internal turmoil. From the opening J-pop jingle to the final cathartic declaration, EYES offer a whirlwind journey through trauma, identity, disillusionment, and acceptance—all filtered through their signature mix of metallic hardcore, mathcore, noise rock, and blackened sludge.

“We are extremely excited to welcome ‘Spinner’ into the world for everyone to hear. We tried doing something a little different with just about everything in the process of making this album—and we feel that every twist we made and every conscious decision that we took hit what we were going for.

“Jacob Bredahl and Brad Boatright knocked it out of the park with the production, and Lasse Høgh smashed it on the visual representation—We are eternally grateful for the opportunity to work with these geniuses.

“We’re taking the songs out on the road in the coming months so we hope to see you screaming the lyrics back at us.

Musically, Spinner is a finely tuned collision of influences—think Converge, Chat Pile, Every Time I Die, KEN Mode and The Dillinger Escape Plan —with furious grooves, dissonant “spinning” riffs, and rhythmic shifts that are as disorienting as they are addictively satisfying. Tracks like the one-minute juggernaut “Better” deliver instant impact, while “The Captain” and “Moving Day For the Overton Window” showcase the band’s range—balancing sheer force with calculated tension. Guest vocal appearances by Selma Bahner (Feral Nature) and Jesse Matthewson (KEN Mode) add further grit and dynamism to an already unrelenting experience.

Thematically, ‘Spinner’ is about chaos—external and internal. It’s a spiraling meditation on how we navigate life’s absurdity, pain, and unpredictability. Yet amidst the shrieks and breakdowns, there’s an emotional core: a cathartic self-examination driven by the expressive vocals of Victor Kaas, who turns personal reflection into lyrical firepower. The record ends not with collapse, but defiant acceptance—embracing life’s turmoil as something to be spun through, not run from.

EYES have always brought a deadpan cynicism and a raw energy to their sound, but Spinner is a statement of evolution. It’s tighter, louder, smarter—and more them—than ever before. With Spinner, they don’t just throw punches; they throw you headfirst into the maelstrom with surgical precision and unrelenting purpose.

Whether you’re a fan of sonic chaos, narrative ambition, or just need 24 minutes of catharsis, Spinner is an essential listen—and a masterclass in how to blend concept, character, and carnage into one seamless, spiraling ride.
