Another gem emerging from Switzerland’s ever-thriving alternative scene Bunkr is a duo determined to craft razor-sharp, seismically-charged noise laced with indie-stoner overtones and hypnotic math-rock built on deliberately unconventional structures.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Don Caballero, Slint, BadBadNotGood, and Kyuss, the Swiss outfit has just released the first single from their upcoming debut album — the title track “Schluss”, now available for streaming below.

The track will appear on their self-titled album Schluss, slated for release on March 29 in CD, LP, and digital formats via local labels Cold Smoke Records (Hey Satan, K Ø D E, Oregon Trail, Six Months Of Sun…) and Division Records (Closet Disco Queen, Dirge, Papertank, Unfold, etc.).

“‘Schluss’ was one of the first songs we wrote for the album. Over the years, it’s gone through quite a few changes and refinements.”

“For us, it’s probably the album’s ‘hit’ — though at nine minutes long, it might be the longest hit in history! The track is built around two loops and closes with a massive finale. It’s definitely a challenge to play live!”

“It spins your head around, takes you on a quick trip to the beach, and then launches into a brief history of stoner rock — told in three riffs.”
