First discovered through a split release with their fellow UK hitmen PUPIL SLICER (a pairing that, in hindsight, feels brilliantly inevitable), Death Goals quickly established themselves as a force to watch in the hardcore scene with their explosive debut ‘The Horrible And The Miserable’.
This spring, the openly queer UK duo will continue their unstoppable rise with a second full-length album, ‘A Garden Of Dead Flowers’, set for release on May 5th via Prosthetic Records (home to artists like Gojira, Kylesa, Primitive Weapons, Yakuza, and yes—Pupil Slicer again, naturally).
Often compared to stunning bands like Converge, Every Time I Die, Frail Body or The Callous Daoboys – the Englishmen have now unveiled the record’s lead single, “Faux Macho”, accompanied by a striking music video (watch below). Pre-orders for the album are available now.
While the album undoubtedly delves into dark and challenging territory, Death Goals remain defiantly joyful in their antagonism. ‘A Garden Of Dead Flowers’ is an electrifying anthology of lived experience—confrontational, cathartic, and ultimately hopeful. It’s a record that offers solidarity, support, and belonging to all those on the margins.
“Death Goals guide the listener through secret encounters in the woods, the fight against queer erasure, nightmarish midnight fears, addiction and recovery, dysphoria, and—perhaps most powerfully—the euphoric acceptance found within community,” says Prosthetic Records.
