Freshly signed to Season of Mist, home to artists such as Impure Wilhelmina, Somali Yacht Club, Vestige and Wailin Storms, the Clermont-Ferrand quartet unveil the first single from their forthcoming album ‘Made Flesh’, due August 21, 2026. Across ten tracks, the record explores the darker corners of the human psyche, delving into themes of egocentrism, denial, toxicity and instrumentalized faith while rejecting easy answers in favour of a deeply human and unsettling self-examination.
Musically, the band continues to refine a sound that balances the emotional weight of post-hardcore with the expansive textures of alternative rock. Heavy guitars collide with atmospheric soundscapes, prominent synths and emotionally charged vocals, drawing comparisons to Hum, Helmet, Rival Schools and Shiner while retaining the band’s own unmistakable identity.
“Matter” speaks to that almost irrepressible need to exist for oneself, to put oneself above everything else and dominate one’s own world.
The track calls out a reflexive tendency toward conflict and the relentless pursuit of superiority over others, as seen through a pathologically self-centered point of view : a satirical account of feelings we must each confront and tame within ourselves.
Formed in 2014, UNTITLED WITH DRUMS gained significant attention with their debut album Hollow in 2020. The band’s growing reputation led to appearances at Hellfest, London’s Desertfest and the prestigious Nuits de Fourvière festival in Lyon alongside Deftones and Baroness, before ultimately signing with Season of Mist.
Following 2025’s ‘Symbols’ EP, ‘Made Flesh’ finds the band consolidated as a four-piece, sharper and more focused than ever. That confidence is immediately evident on « Matter »: a powerful opening statement that signals UNTITLED WITH DRUMS are ready to push beyond underground acclaim and establish themselves as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary European alternative rock.
