A familiar name in our digital pages, the formidable Danish band EYES (hardcore-metal, with members previously seen in LLNN) has joined the ranks of Prosthetic Records and, in the process, announced their upcoming album.
The Copenhagen natives will release SPINNER, their third studio album and the follow-up to their solid 2022 release ‘Congratulations‘, on April 25th. To mark the occasion, they are unveiling their new single, « Better », with its video in our pages.
The album draws heavy inspiration from manga author Asano Inio and his works Goodnight Punpun and Dead Dead Demon’s De De De Destruction. SPINNER was crafted as a way to confront the traumas of youth and early adulthood, leaving them behind in a world reminiscent of the one the band used to escape to.
« Better » is, in many ways, a statement of intent for the album. Short and intense, the track speaks to the desire to improve—not just as musicians, but as a band and as individuals. However, no matter how strong your intentions may be, there will always be someone, perhaps even yourself, to bring you down. (Victor Kaas, EYES)
