As we launched Score A/V nearly 10 years ago (yes, almost a full decade already…), we’ve ever been – since then – filling our pages with all kinds of musical discoveries and confirmations—especially throughout the two years that followed.
And yet, we constantly find ourselves missing out on a number of releases, which is exactly why we introduced these “catch-up sessions” that now appear regularly on the site—highlighting standout releases and hidden gems from across the musical spectrum.
Much like American post-rockers The Color Of Cyan, whose debut album we covered last summer (albeit a bit late…), we somehow overlooked their sophomore release, ‘EGRESS’, which came out in the fall of 2023.
Released on LP and digital—once again with the support of A Thousand Arms and Dunk! Records,—this elegant follow-up drifts gracefully through sonic territories somewhere between Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Russian Circles, Goodbye, Meteor, and where mermaids drown.
