Ascendant on the European post-rock scen, Hanry is the latest revelation from the ever-prolific German label Pelagic Records (Lost In Kiev, mono, Oh Hiroshima, Year Of No Light…) —already lining up nearly 30 releases for 2025. The Rennes-based sextet makes a striking debut with Disruption, a digital-only EP that blends post-rock, ambient, and trip-hop into a sound as elegant as it is weightless.
Drawing inspiration from Boards of Canada, Explosions in the Sky, Thom Yorke, Mogwai, Slowdive, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hanry crafts lush, cinematic compositions that feel both intimate and expansive. The group first drew wider attention with a standout live session for KEXP in 2024, and now has a full-length album slated for release by the end of 2025.
For now, Disruption is available to stream in full and download on a pay-what-you-want basis via the link below.
