After a six-year silence, experimental mathcore/tech-metal juggernaut Car Bomb is detonating back onto the scene with ‘Tiles Whisper Dreams’, a ferocious new 3-tracks EP dropping August 1—and they’ve just unleashed the first taste: “Paroxysm.”

Recorded at Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier’s Silvercord Studio in Queens, NY, Tiles Whisper Dreams is Car Bomb at their most unhinged and ambitious. The lead single “Paroxysm” is a mind-warping assault of polyrhythmic chaos, molten riffage, and vocal intensity that refuses to compromise.

It’s a brutal, calculated kind of madness as a perfect combination of Dillinger Escape Plan with Meshuggah (with a bit of Frontierer, Ion Dissonance or Psyopus)—exactly the sonic devastation fans have been starving for since 2019’s ‘Mordial’.

Guitarist Greg Kubacki describes the band’s creative philosophy as nothing short of annihilation and reconstruction:

“We aspire to create our own style of heavy music by bending everything—notes, time signatures, tempos, the sonic quality of guitars. Our songs might sound chaotic at first, but if you dig deep, you’ll find evolving patterns and unexpected grooves. Most won’t get that far—and that’s fine. We’re making music we want to hear.”

This isn’t just a comeback—it’s a warning shot. Tiles Whisper Dreams is poised to be one of the most daring, destructive, and innovative heavy releases of the year.
