4 years after dominating the scene with the outstanding ‘Fyra’, which was released at the time jointly by Moment of Collapse Records, Tokyo Jupiter Records & Sludgelord Records, the Swedish band Suffocate For Fuck Sake (post-hardcore/emo/screamo/noise) are back with a new one-track single… in long format..
A track exceeding 20 minutes, titled “To Rest in a Trust, That Creates the World”, blending post-rock, screamo, and ambient influences into an immersive composition. It evokes the soundscapes of bands like Cult Of Luna, envy, Heaven In Her Arms, Respire, Shirokuma, Suis la lune or Vi som älskade varandra så mycket.
True to their approach, SFFS combines heavy riffs, raw vocals, and delicate melodies, enhanced with documentary-style vocal samples. Addressing themes such as isolation and mental health, their music is both introspective and socially engaged. With To Rest in the Trust, That Creates the World, the band delivers a monumental piece where the metaphor of the seasons illustrates the impact of time on our sense of stability.
