A Cinematic Sonic Journey Years in the Making
Score A/V and the autor of these words have been proud co-conspirators of THOT since the very genesis of this bold, genre-defying project. What began as an underground industrial whisper has grown into a full-force audiovisual roar.
Today, we are thrilled to finally speak about Delta, THOT’s fourth full-length album—released via our close-knit partners at Pelagic Records (And So I Watch You From Afar, Arms And Sleepers, Gösta Berlings Saga, Lustmord, SOARS…).
Seven years after the acclaimed ‘FLEUVE’, ‘Delta’ marks a striking return and a profound evolution. Fronted by the uncompromising Grégoire Fray and backed by a newly invigorated lineup, the album is a richly textured odyssey through industrial pulses, post-rock expanses, progressive songwriting, and ethereal cinematic flourishes.
It’s a record born of creative struggle and rebirth—originally started in 2019, derailed by the pandemic, and ultimately reimagined from the ground up through a lens of cultural introspection and artistic resilience.
On ‘Delta’, thunderous basslines collide with fractured guitars, icy synthscapes, and haunting choral textures—featuring contributions from the legendary Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares and Czech artist Lenka Dusilová. Tracks like “Supercluster,” “Céphéide,” and “Sleep Oddity” pulse with both urgency and elegance, while “Hüzün” and “Estuaire” reflect the album’s emotional gravity and cinematic scope.
This is not just an album—it’s a visceral and multicultural journey through time, trauma, and transformation. Fray’s dual-language vocal delivery and the vocal interplay with Juliette Mauduit elevate each track with mystique and catharsis, revealing the liminal spaces between sorrow, defiance, and hope.

‘Delta’ is both an artistic culmination and a new beginning. It’s Thot at their most unrestrained and most refined—and for us at Score A/V, it’s personal. We’ve walked this path with them from the beginning. Now, it’s time for you to step into the delta.
