Madrid-based post-hardcore/punk trio Boneflower return with “Pomegranate,” the searing first single from their upcoming full-length ‘Reveries’, due out July 25, 2025 via Deathwish Inc. (Converge, Loma Prieta, Modern Life Is War, The Hope Conspiracy…). Featuring a blistering guest appearance from Jeremy Bolm of Touché Amoré, the track marks a powerful reintroduction to a band known for merging emotional weight with atmospheric dynamics.
Formed in 2015, Boneflower have steadily built a reputation across Europe’s DIY circuit with emotionally charged songwriting and an ever-evolving sound. Their music fuses the urgency of post-hardcore with the expansive textures of post-rock—an approach that’s earned them critical respect and a loyal following.
‘Reveries’ will be the band’s first full-length since 2020’s ‘Armour’, following their 2021 collaborative EP ‘Dolor / 遠来’ with Japan’s Lang. Boneflower’s history of collaboration, commitment to DIY ethics, and steady artistic evolution are reflected not just in their recordings but in their relentless touring.
Pomegranate” highlights the band’s familiar blend of melody and intensity. The layered guitars maintain a sharp edge, and the vocals carry a measured emotional weight. Jeremy Bolm’s appearance is direct and forceful, adding to the track’s tension without dominating it. His voice integrates cleanly into Boneflower’s dense arrangement, feeling more like a natural extension than a guest feature.
The single appears on side A of ‘Reveries’, a 13-track album steeped in emotional intensity and sonic catharsis, echoing the raw urgency of bands like La Dispute, the atmospheric crescendos of Pianos Become The Teeth, and the unrelenting energy of State Faults, Respire and Title Fight ; to channel a post-hardcore vulnerability that feels both intimate and explosive.
