Chicago-based heavy hardcore-metal band Harm’s Way has long been recognized for their experimental and expressionist approach to the genre, continually pushing boundaries with each release. Following a period of relative silence, the band made a powerful return in 2023 with ‘Common Suffering’, a frenzied and uncompromising album that marked a significant evolution in their sound.
Just hours ago, Harm’s Way unveiled Other World, a two-song EP featuring a previously unreleased track from the ‘Common Suffering’ recording sessions alongside a newly reimagined remix of one of the album’s standout songs. ‘Other World’ is available now on limited LP via Metal Blade Records and digital through all major streaming platforms.
The track “Other World” was originally recorded during the Common Suffering sessions at Studio 4 but was ultimately held off the album. We revisited and remixed the track ourselves to now be delivered to you.
In addition, we reimagined the track “Wanderer” for this single/EP, with help of our friend King Yosef taking on some collaborative production duties. Now titled “V.Y.B.S.S.,” both songs deliver a proper juxtaposition of who we are creatively as a band, both present and future.
