Nearly eight years after the release of ‘Mass VI’ (2017, Neurot Recordings) and with a new full-length album in the works, Belgian post-metal pioneers AMENRA returns with two new EPs, ‘De Toorn’ and ‘With Fang and Claw’, both set for release on March 28 via Relapse Records.

« A song often begins with one person’s vision. But with ‘Forlorn,’ Mathieu and I created something that felt equally ours—effortlessly and naturally. Some songs take time to find their true shape, but this one clicked immediately. Just a few weeks later, we were already in the studio, capturing what had come to life. »
—Lennart Bossu, AMENRA

These two new short-format releases explore different facets of the Ghent-based band’s musical identity. With contrasting sonic textures, distinct songwriting approaches, and deep emotional intensity, this diptych offers a look both at the band’s raw beginnings and its evolution toward a more immersive, cinematic sound.

In the meantime, with pre-orders for both EPs now live on the Relapse Records online store, two audio and video excerpts from the upcoming releases are available above and below.
