As follow-up to her critically acclaimed album ‘As The Moon Rests’, British indie/post-whatever/dark-folk singer-songwriter A.A. Williams has unveiled a full live session recorded at Audiotree’s Chicago studio—an immersive blend of performance and candid conversation. Captured on September 20, 2024, the session showcases Williams performing select tracks from As The Moon Rests, interwoven with an in-depth interview hosted by Psalm One.

Released in 2022 via Bella Union—a label renowned for championing genre-defying artists such as Marissa Nadler, Explosions in the Sky, and Jambinai—’As The Moon Rests’ has solidified Williams’ place at the forefront of contemporary dark-folk, post-rock, and neo-classical fusion. The album, reissued in physical and digital formats in late 2024, was first introduced by the haunting single “Evaporate,” which set the tone for a collection widely praised for its atmospheric richness and emotional weight.

This latest chapter builds on the foundation laid by her 2020 debut ‘Forever Blue’, a striking introduction that fused gothic folk with slowcore and post-metal sensibilities. In 2023, Williams further expanded her sonic scope through an ambitious collaboration with Japanese post-rock outfit MONO—blending cinematic orchestration with crushing dynamic shifts.

Now available to stream in full, the Audiotree session offers a raw, intimate look into Williams’ live artistry, underscoring a personal and musical journey that continues to evolve with profound emotional resonance.
