New single “MEMORY” out now | New album “NAKED” drops November 14, 2025 on Twenty Something
After 2 decades of navigating the deep waters of distortion, raw energy, and emotional intensity, Jack And The Bearded Fishermen resurface with a single AND an album.
The French collective from Besançon, blending heavy-noise-rock/post-hardcore/stoner and alternative-metal, breaks their silence with “MEMORY”, the explosive first single from their upcoming fifth studio album ‘NAKED’ to be released this fall via Twenty Something, sub-division of Nineteen Something (Daria, Burning Heads, LANE…).
Formed in 2005, the band carved out a distinct path in the alternative metal landscape, seamlessly fusing post-hardcore urgency, stoner metal sludge, and noise rock chaos into a sound that’s both punishing and poetic. Known for their visceral live shows and cult-like following, they’ve earned comparisons to Quicksand, Melvins, Torche or Unsane, while always staying true to their singular identity: loud, emotional, and unapologetically honest.
After 2022’s acclaimed ‘Playful Winds’ marked their triumphant return, ‘NAKED’ strips things down to the core — emotionally raw, sonically massive, and more fearless than ever. “MEMORY” sets the tone: a heavy, haunting track that channels the ghosts of the past into a wall of sound. It’s the beginning of a new chapter, one that stares straight into the void — and turns it into art.
With roots in projects like HORSKH, Red Gloves, and Go Spleen, the band pulls from a wide palette of influences but remains anchored in their own universe of distortion and melodic tension.
