Blending alternative-rock, indie-noise, shoegaze, and grunge at the crossroads of musical influences such as Failure, Helmet, METZ, Notwist, and Slint — with occasional echoes of Deftones — and drawing inspiration from the countless bands shaped by the Sub Pop galaxy, Death By Gong stands out as one of the most exciting new projects to emerge on the European scene in recent months.
The trio hails from Germany and features Chris Breuer (HEADS., Zahn…), Jobst M. Feit (Llynch, RADARE…), and Peter Voigtmann (The Ocean Collective, Heads, and his solo project SHRVL). Their debut album called ‘Descalator’ is set for release in the coming weeks via CRAZYSANE Records (home of Entropy, Grin, Heads., Twing Drugs; and more).
In the meantime, listeners can already get a taste of what the band has under the hood with their first two singles, « Distant » and « In Despair », both available for streaming above and below.
